2024 Big 12 Wrestling Championship seeds and brackets announced

IRVING, Texas – The Conference announced on Monday the seedings and brackets for the 2024 Big 12 Wrestling Championship, which is set to take place March 9-10 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Seven different teams earned top seeds led by Iowa State, Missouri and South Dakota State garnering two top seeds each. Air Force, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa and Oklahoma State all collected one top seed.
Missouri’s Noah Surtin (125) and Keegan O’Toole grabbed the top seeds for the defending champion Tigers while Iowa State’s Anthony Echemendia (141) and Casey Swiderski (149) grabbed the top spots for the Cyclones. Cade DeVos and Tanner Sloan rounded out the teams with two No. 1 spots for South Dakota State in the 174- and 197-pound weight classes, respectively. Missouri and Oklahoma State received the most selections as both teams’ entire lineups were seeded in the top eight.
The Championship begins Saturday at 10 a.m. CT with preliminary & quarterfinal matches, while the semifinal and consolation quarterfinal matches will begin at 5 p.m. CT Saturday. The Championship will resume Sunday at Noon CT with the consolation semifinals as well as the third and fifth-place matches before concluding with the Championship matches at 7:30 p.m. CT.

This is the ninth neutral-site conference championship for the sport and the eighth in Tulsa. Missouri defended its Big 12 title last year, with 148 points.
Big 12 Now on ESPN+ will broadcast the first three sessions of the event while the championship round will air on ESPN2 at 7:30 p.m. CT Sunday, March 10.
