Our list of individual state high school champions now includes Louisiana Boys, Iowa Girls, the Georgia Independent States and the Texas Prep champions. The list will be updated weekly during the high school season.
Once again, USA Wrestling will publish regular updates on the 2023-24 state high school champions for both boys and girls.
Winning a state high school title is an amazing achievement for a high school student-athlete. We will post the champions from official state high school championships for boys, as well as the girls who have won official state high school titles, as well as the recognized state competitions which are not run by their state high school association. We will also post the team champions at the state level as available. As available, we will include the state champion’s year in school and final record.
This week, we add the Louisiana Boys State Championships, which was held in Bossier City this weekend, with three divisions. Team champions were Jesuit (D1), North Desoto (D2) and Archbishop Shaw (D3). The Iowa Girls State Championships, held in Coralville, was won by Decorah.
Two other non-public state championships were held, the Georgia Independent States held in Americus, and the Texas Prep School States, held in San Antonio. Both had boys and girls divisions. The Westfield School was the boys champions in the Georgia Independents, and St. John`s School Houston was the champions of the Texas Prep States.
State champions will be updated on a weekly basis until the state championship season has been completed in mid-March.
