4th annual Greg Strobel 30-Day Challenge starts Feb. 14
by Greg Strobel Leadership Academy
USA Wrestling, in partnership with the Greg Strobel Leadership Academy (GSLA), announces the 4th Annual Greg Strobel 30-Day Challenge. This year’s 30-Day Challenge will run from Thursday, February 14 – Thursday, March 14, 2024.
As we enter a new year, we have a great opportunity for friends and family to embark on a 30-day journey with us. The GSLA 30-Day Challenge helps cultivate a lifetime of good habits, just one of the four pillars of the GSLA.
For 30 days, start by setting clear goals aligned with the GSLA four pillars of Family, Accountability, and Discipline, which all inevitably lead to our fourth pillar, creating a Lifetime of Good Habits. Remember, consistency breeds success!
Every year, Greg challenged himself to make his college wrestling weight to demonstrate the importance of discipline, accountability, and consistency, while also enriching the lives of others by fostering positive relationships, making connections, and creating a family atmosphere within the wrestling communities he served.
Embrace small changes daily, such as incorporating exercise, being diligent in what is expected of ourselves daily, maintaining and fostering a positive mindset, practicing mindfulness and self-awareness, and working towards personal goals. Whether that is getting back to basics or achieving stretch goals, it is up to each of us to decide.
We encourage you to be a part of this year’s 30-Day Challenge as we continue to support USA Wrestling athletes, coaches, officials, and the wrestling community at large.
How Do I Get involved?
The goal is to seek out donors to sponsor your 30 days of habit building efforts. Your sponsors (friends, family, co-workers, etc) can sponsor you with a flat donation to support your efforts, or donate by pound (if doing a weight loss challenge) or by number of days you achieved your goal (if your challenge is to do something healthy for 30 days to start building your motivation). Whatever your goal, make it happen! Support GSLA along the way!
Create a routine that fits your lifestyle
For the duration of the challenge, the goal is to focus, demonstrate initiative, and commit to whatever your goals are at least 3 times per week. The spirit of the challenge remains the same, so now it’s time to pick your challenge, gain supporters, and start your working your plan.
“Coach always told us we needed to continue working out when we finished our wrestling careers and suggested that we work out 6 days a week for our lifetime. As athletes, he would say that ‘we were practicing to win matches, but also working to create a lifetime of good habits.’”
