LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The semifinals have been set at the Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase, which will conclude on Sunday at the South Point Arena. The field is stacked, with numerous nationally ranked athletes in every single weight class. This annual event is part of the Pritchard Companies U.S. Open.

There are three past age-group World medalists who have reached the semifinals this year: Jaclyn Bouzakis of Pennsylvania (100), Gabriella Gomez of RTC Wrestling (115) and Valerie Hamilton of Sot-C (145).

Bouzakis was a 2023 U17 World bronze medalist, Gomez was a 2022 U17 World silver medalist and Hamilton was a 2023 U17 World silver medalist.

South Carolina star Zao Estrada of Daughters Of Zion Wrestling reached the quarterfinals at 120 pounds. She is attempting to win her fourth straight Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase. She will battle Noelani Lutz of Gold Rush Wrestling in the semifinals.

There are two returning champions at 120 pounds, Estrada and Karlee Brooks of Titan Mercury WC. Estrada won at 112 pounds last year, while Brooks was the 117-pound champion. Brooks was a member of the 2023 U.S. U17 World Team.

In a tough battle between returning Showcase champions in the 155 pound quarterfinals, Eduarda Rodrigues of Team Thunder WC scored a takedown in the closing seconds to defeat Gretchen Donally of Colorado Mesa WC, 7-6. Rodrigues won at 152 pounds in 2023, while Donally was the 138-pound champion.

Other 2023 Showcase champions, with their current weight class, are Clare Booe of Wyoming Seminary WC (115), Isis France of Wyoming Seminary WC (135) and Tilisa Matakaiongo of the Canyon View Falcons (235).

There are three No. 1 ranked wrestlers in the semifinals, Bouzakis, Kaidence Gerg of Team Idaho WC (125) and Rodrigues, and three No. 2 ranked wrestlers, Booe, Brooks and Hamilton.

The starting time for the National Girls High School Showcase has been changed to 9:00 a.m. PT. The tournament will be run through conclusion on Sunday.
