Loaded Brian Keck Preseason Nationals girls high school division to include 72 nationally ranked stars

The Girls High School division of the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals has become one of the traditionally strong early season tournaments, and has always made an impact on the National Girls High School Ranking.
As this tournament grows and more nationally ranked wrestlers choose to test themselves at the Preseason Nationals, it will have an even bigger impact on the national rankings and assist in the development of our nation’s best high school girls wrestlers.
There are a total of 72 nationally ranked wrestlers registered for the Girls High School division in Des Moines this year, including many of the highest ranked athletes in the nation. In fact, there are 15 athletes who are ranked in the top five of their weight class in the National High School Preseason Rankings, which were released in September.
Included is the No. 1 at 135 pounds, Valerie Hamilton of Illinois, who has registered at 170 pounds for this weekend. Included are four No. 2 ranked wrestlers with their weight class in Des Moines are Madison Nieuwenhuis of Michigan (100), Eduarda Rodrigues of California (155), Naomi Simon of Iowa (170) and Tirza Twoteeth of Montana (190).
Those with No. 3 national rankings include Katey Valdez of Colorado (100), Gigi Bragg of Michigan (110) and Gretchen Donally of Montana (140). Those with a No. 4 national ranking signed up for the Preseason Nationals are Caley Graber of Minnesota (100), Kendall Moe of Indiana (100), Lindsey Lopez of Colorado (115) and Samantha Sachs of California (130). The No. 5 ranked athletes in the field are Gabrielle Tedesco of Florida (100), Angelina Vargas of Missouri (120) and Lexie Lopez of Colorado (120).
Returning champions in the field (with the weight they won in 2022) include Graber (100), Hamilton (138), Rodriguez (152), Simon (164), plus Reanah Utterback of Iowa (106) and Taylor Colangelo of Arizona (127).
The weight class with the most nationally ranked athletes is 130 pounds, with 10 in the Preseason rankings: No. 4 Samantha Sachs of California, No. 8 Britney Rueb of South Dakota, No 11 Lilyana Balderas of California, No. 16 Giana DiBenedetto of California, No. 16 Aubre Pehrson of Nebraska, No. 18 Alexis Pehrson of Nebraska, No. 25 Regan Rosseter of Nebraska, No. 27 Jamie Laswell of Arizona, No. 29 Taylor Dawson of Illinois and No. 30 Chloe Sanders of Iowa (135).
Another loaded weight, with eight in the national rankings, is 115 pounds, featuring No. 4 Lindsey Lopez of Colorado, No. 6 Kaura Coles of Montana, No. 7 Riley Rayome of Texas, No. 14 Alena Williams of Arkansas, No. 19 Daylee Watson of Pennsylvania), No. 23 Ayane Jasinski of Illinois, No. 24 Cassidy Benwell of Missouri and No. 25 Grace Romans of Texas.
The Brian Keck Preseason Nationals girls high school division will be held in its entirety on Sunday, October 29.
