USA Wrestling Folkstyle Tour of America begins with Bigfoot Battle, November 17-18

2023-24 USA Wrestling Folkstyle Tour of America Events

There are six Folkstyle Tour of America events slated for the 2023-24 season. Wrestlers from across the country will mix it up with opportunities to earn Future Olympic Rankings points and earn some of the most impressive trophies within youth wrestling, with each event featuring a specific trophy design based upon the local culture. The Tour of America begins next weekend as the first event of the season kicks off.


The first Tour of America event is the Bigfoot Battle in Spokane, Washington, slated for November 17-18. The tournament will include a True Beginner division for first and second year wrestlers and will be held at The Podium in Spokane. The Bigfoot Battle features divisions for wrestlers 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and Middle School, catering to both boys and girls, as well as True Beginners. To register, visit the event page here.


The second Tour of America event will be held at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on December 9. The King and Queen of the Mountain is a one-day event that features divisions for athletes 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and Middle School, catering to both boys and girls, as well as True Beginners. USA Wrestling does not charge for adjusting weight classes, even at weigh-ins, so sign up early to guarantee your spot in the event. More information and links to register can be found here.


Stockyard Stampede is the third Tour of America event this season, and will be held alongside Senior Nationals, a 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier, in Fort Worth, Texas. The two-day event will take place at the Fort Worth Convention Center on December 15-16, 2023. The event features divisions for wrestlers 8U, 10U, 12U and Middle School, catering to both boys and girls, as well as True Beginners. Credentialed coaches & athletes will also receive free admission/spectator access to the Senior Nationals event, and admission does not include floor access to the event. The Tour of America makes its next stop in Herriman, Utah, for the Salt Lake Slam on December 30. The event will be held at Zions Bank Real Academy, and features age divisions for wrestlers 8U, 10U, 12U and Middle School, for both boys and girls. The Hot Rod Blowout in Greensboro, North Carolina, is the fifth Folkstyle Tour of America event this season. The event is slated for January 13, and more information on this event will be released.


Rounding out the Folkstyle Tour of America events is Dominate in the Dells, a two-day event on March 9-10 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Taking place at the Woodside Wisconsin Dells Center, this event is slated to feature 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and USA Junior division athletes, including boys and girls, as well as True Beginners.
