Match of the Day: Talented ACC up-and-comers Latona and Camacho battle in the consolation rounds at Senior Nationals

In the 57 kg Senior Nationals consolation quarterfinals, Sam Latona and Jakob Camacho collided, previewing what could be a rivalry for years to come.

Latona wrestles collegiately for Virginia Tech. Taking a redshirt year last season as a true freshman, he compiled a 20-2 record, winning three open tournaments and placing third at the prestigious Southern Scuffle.

Camacho, who competes for NC State, followed up on an outstanding 26-2 redshirt season with a stellar freshman campaign, winning the ACC Championships at 125 pounds and earning NWCA Second-Team All-American honors while putting together a 20-6 record.

The pair met once during the season, with Latona earning a 10-5 decision at the Southern Scuffle.
