Easton High School is located in a major national wrestling hotbed, Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley, and has a strong tradition of excellent wrestling which is charactaristic of the region.
This school made waves in its community when it announced it would have a girls high school wrestling team, in response to the explosive growth of the sport among girls.
It has announced the hire of recent Lehigh University wrestling star Jordan Kutler as the first girls wrestling coach.
Kutler was a three-time EIWA champion for Lehigh, who earned All-American honors by placing at the 2018 and 2019 NCAA Championships. He was a title hopeful for the 2020 NCAA Championships in Minneapolis as a senior, but the NCAA cancelled the tournament due to COVID-19. He was named NWCA First Team All-American for 2020, making him a three-time All-American.
Originally from Sparta, N.J., Kutler studied Technical Entrepreneurship (with a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience) at Lehigh. He attended Blair Academy, one of the nation's best boys wrestling programs, prior to attending Lehigh.
Below are some excerpts from local articles about Kutler's hire to coach girls wrestling at Easton.

Easton’s first girls wrestling coach, Lehigh grad Jordan Kutler, ready to immerse himself in another new venture.
After taking time to grieve and vent, Kutler transferred that energy to the next phase of his life. He is a technology consultant for Novus Surgical, a company that provides medical products and educational services for orthopedic and podiatric surgeons and their patients.
“I threw my focus into my job,” he said. “I hit the ground running and have been learning a lot and making progress during the last month when things started to pick up.”
Wrestling, however, is not leaving the 23-year-old New Jersey native’s life any time soon.
The three-time EIWA champion and two-time Division I All-American spent the last several years offering private lessons.
Kutler’s role expanded Tuesday night when Easton Area School District’s board unanimously approved his hire as the first head coach of the girls wrestling program.

Jordan Kutler endured one of the deepest disappointments any athlete has ever suffered when the NCAA canceled its Division I wrestling championships in March.
Kutler, in his final season with Lehigh, was ranked No. 3 in the nation by Intermat at 174 pounds at the time.
“Deep down, I believed I was going to go to Minnesota and be a national champion,” he said. “I was hurting pretty bad after all that happened. It still stings to this day, but life goes on, and I took all that energy I had and focused in on being a professional, and a new chapter in my life is starting now.”
Kutler certainly started a new chapter in many ways when his appointment as the first head coach of girls wrestling in Easton history was approved by the Easton Area School Board Tuesday night
