Southern Scuffle finals set; Stanford gets four into finals; Oklahoma State leads tight team race

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The semifinals have finished at the Southern Scuffle on Thursday morning, setting up tonight’s gold-medal finals.
There will only be five No. 1 seeds in the finals, after a pair of top seeds dropped bouts in the semifinals.
At 133 pounds, No. 5 seed Sammy Alvarez of Rutgers beat No. 1 seed Micky Phillippi of Pittsburgh, 6-3. At 285 pounds, No. 5 Dalton Robertson of Northern Colorado beat No. 1 Demetrius Thomas of Pittsburgh, 5-4.
After the semifinals ended, Oklahoma State had 101 points, followed by NC State with 95 points and Stanford with 91.5 points.
Stanford has the most finalists with four: Real Woods (141), Jaden Abas (149), Shane Griffith (165) and Nathan Traxler (197).
The consolation semifinals are underway right now. The finals are set for 7:00 p.m. Eastern. The entire event is broadcast by Flowrestling.
A complete day two wrap by Roger Moore will be posted tonight after the finals.
