Respected Sem Ladies Open set for March 14 in Kingston, Pa., featuring U.S. and international talent

Wyoming Seminary will host the 3rd annual Sem Ladies Open on Saturday, March 14th. The international freestyle competition will be held at the Carpenter Athletic Center on the campus of Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School in Kingston, Pa.
The individual tournament will feature an impressive field of female wrestlers born 2001-2006 from around the world.
Competition will be contested in the 10 UWW Cadet weight categories: 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 53kg, 57kg, 61kg, 65kg, 69kg, 73kg with a +1kg allowance. Straight line brackets will be used with full consolations, ensuring a minimum of two matches.
There are expected to be several international teams taking part in the tournament including Japan, Mongolia, Russia, Canada, Brazil, and Estonia. The international rosters include a World champion, World medalists, and National Team members.
“We are excited to offer a high level international competition on American soil for the third consecutive year. International experience is extremely important for preparing the next generation of American women wrestlers for success on the world and Olympic stage. We welcome all interested girls to join us on the beautiful campus of Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pennsylvania March 14,” said Erin Vandiver, Girls Wrestling Head Coach at Wyoming Seminary.
Top American girls from 14 states are currently registered including World medalists, National Team members, and USA Wrestling All-Americans.
Numerous nationally ranked high school girls are expected to compete. This event will greatly impact the National Girls High School Rankings.
