Through its Facebook page, the National Wrestling Media Association announced its annual award winners, recognizing wrestling journalism and communications achievements for for the 2019-20 year.
This year's winners are:
Journalist of the Year - Tom Housenick, The Morning Call (Pa.)
Broadcaster of the Year - Shane Sparks, Big Ten Network
Outlet of the Year - PA Power Wrestling
Photographer of the Year - Richard Immel, Trackwrestling
Podcast of the Year - Wrestling Changed My Life
Div. I Sports Information Director of the Year - Stacie Michaud, Navy
Small College Sports Information Director of the Year - Chris Caputo, Pitt-Johnstown
Jay Hammond Memorial Service Award - Dan McCool, Des Moines Register, wrestling author (posthumously)
Jay Hammond Memorial Service Award - Justin Tritz, Trackwrestling
Spotlight Award: Innovative Journalism - Brant Parsons, Orlando Sentinel
Spotlight Award: Breakthrough Outlet - Wreaper Wrestling
Founded in 1988, the National Wrestling Media Association is the professional organization for wrestling journalists and communications professionals.
