Match of the Day: Aden Valencia wins U15 Nationals in Greco-Roman

In 2019, USA Wrestling hosted the UWW U15 Nationals in Papillion, Nebraska. Not only were the winners crowned national champions, but they also earned the right to represent the Red White and Blue at the U15 World School Combat Games in Budapest, Hungary.
One of the tournament’s most impressive wrestlers was Aden Valencia. The California native, who competed at 38 kg, took home titles in both Greco-Roman and freestyle. In his ten matches across both styles, Valencia recorded nine technical falls and one pin.
Valencia would continue his winning ways on the International level, earning U15 World titles in both styles. He was the only wrestler in the tournament to accomplish that feat.
