P 20 - TIME TO MAKE A NAME - A pair of wrestlers from both Northwestern (Sebastian Rivera & Ryan Deakin) and Princeton (Matt Kolodzik and Pat Brucki) captured historic championships at the Midlands with dreams of bigger postseason goals.
P 23 - LOUISVILLE BLOWS ITS HORN - The Kentucky community, better known for basketball and baseball bats, would like for the nation’s wrestling community to consider it as a host site for events like NCAAs and USA Wrestling Senior-level events.
P 24 - RECRUITING IS THE KEY - Smaller colleges continue to show the most growth, but many of those new programs are putting increased emphasis on finding the right types of kids to fill their rosters while prep numbers decrease slightly.
P 25 - NWCA MULTI-DIVISIONAL NATIONAL DUALS - St. Cloud, Augsburg, Grand View, Northwest Kansas Tech and McKendree won the five different tourneys in an event that also drew plenty of younger wrestlers to the Louisville Kentucky Expo & Freedom Hall.
P 30 - PUTTING COLLEGE ON HOLD - Aaron Brooks and DJ Shannon, who will eventually wrestle at Ohio State and Illinois, are two of the more recent from high school stand-outs to first spend a year with the OTC’s Elite Accelerator Program.
