Join the U.S. Men’s Freestyle World Cup team in celebrating the 2018 NCAA Wrestling Championships at the US Wrestling Foundation Victory Tour in Cleveland on Thursday, March 15 at 9:00 p.m.
There will be some studs in the house as Team USA unveils one of its best teams in years and is primed for a shot at the World Cup title in Iowa City, April 7-8.
It will all take place at Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Indians, at their Terrace Club. This is right next to the Quicken Loans Arena where the NCAA Championships are held.
National Freestyle Coach Bill Zadick will give a preview of what to expect and will introduce members of the team. This promises to be an electrifying lineup with some of USA’s best wrestlers getting their first opportunity to compete side-by-side in the expanded 10 weight class lineup.
Several of the medalists from the 2017 World Championship team will receive their big bonus checks from the Living the Dream Medal Fund including World silver medalist James Green, World silver medalist Thomas Gilman, and World bronze medalist Nick Gwiazdowski.
The event will also launch the USA Wrestling for Peace program, a worldwide initiative to bridge the gap between rivals and bring aid to those struggling. A World Impact Tour is planned, which will target 13 countries to distribute $50M of medical aid through a partnership with CitiHope Relief and Development.
There will also be a special presentation to Charles Mully of the Mully Children’s Family (see MullyMovie.com) as the first recipient of this program with $1 million of medical aid.
There is a lot to celebrate. Tickets are $40 and include an all-you-can-eat buffet and two drink coupons. Join us for a special “Guillotine” specialty drink and/or a Victory Tour beer.
Date: Thursday, March 15
Time: 9 pm-11pm
Location: Progressive Field, Terrace Club (home of the Cleveland Indians) next door to the wrestling arena.
