U.S. Cadet Greco earn draws at 48 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg, 80 kg and 110 kg

ZAGREB, Croatia – Five of the U.S. Greco-Roman team received its draws for the 2018 Cadet World Championships on Wednesday in Zagreb, Croatia.
Representing USA tomorrow are Brenden Chaowanapibool at 48 kg, Hunter Lewis at 55 kg, Dominic Damon at 65 kg, Jonathon Fagan at 80 kg and Luke Luffman at 110 kg.
All five wrestlers will make their World Championship debuts tomorrow.
At 48 kg, Brenden Chaowanapibool will begin his tournament against 2018 Cadet European champion Dmitri Khachidze of Georgia.
Pan American champion in Greco and freestyle Hunter Lewis drew Azerbaijan’s Murad Abbasov, who took fifth at this year’s Cadet European tournament. Lewis will don the Red, White and Blue at 55 kg.
To start his World Championships at 65 kg, Dominci Damon will face Aleksandar Ilic of Serbia. Ilic took fifth in the 2016 Cadet World Championships and won silver at the 2017 Balkan Championships.
At 80 kg, Jonathon Fagen, a 2017 Fargo champion, will face off against Andrei Barbul of Romania, who was 13th at the Cadet European Championships.
Luke Luffman will wrestle for the U.S. at 110 kg and will open his tournament against Cadet Mediterranean champion and Junior Mediterranean bronze medalist Niklaos Ntounias of Greece.
