Molinaro, Ramos, Clark, Perrelli get draws at Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix in Russia

KRASNOYARSK, Russia - National Freestyle Coach Bill Zadick has forwarded the draw for the men’s divisions on the first day of the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix, which begins on Friday morning.
The men’s freestyle division is one of the new UWW Ranking Tournaments, which will help determine seeded athletes for the 2018 World Championships in Hungary.
Four U.S. wrestlers will compete in men’s freestyle on Friday. 2016 Olympian Frank Molinaro, Blacksburg, Va. (Titan Mercury WC/Southeast RTC) received a bye in his opening match at 70 kg/154 lbs. He will draw the winner between Batyr Nebeyev of Turkmenistan and 2014 Military World champion Lkhangarmaa Narmandakh of Mongolia.
The USA has two entries at 61 kg. Two-time World Team member Tony Ramos (Chapel Hill, N.C./Sunkist Kids/Tar Heel WC) opens with Munkh-Erdene Altansuyd of Mongolia, who was third in the 2017 Mongolia Open. 2017 NCAA champion Cory Clark (Iowa City, Iowa/Titan Mercury WC/Hawkeye WC) draws 2014 University World champion Tuvshintulga Tumenbileg of Mongolia.
At 57 kg/125.5 lbs., Frank Perrelli, Charlottesville, Va. (Titan Mercury WC) opens with Islam Keneshov of Kazakhstan, who was 10th in 2017 U23 Worlds.
Two U.S. women wrestlers weighed in to compete on Friday, two-time World silver medalist Alli Ragan (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) at 59 kg/130 lbs. and two-time World Team member Victoria Anthony (Tempe, Ariz./Sunkist Kids) at 50 kg/110 lbs.
The draw was not available in the women’s division at the weigh-in and is not yet posted online. This will be updated when possible.
U.S. fans will be able to watch the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix live for free on Trackwrestling. Krasnoyarsk is 12 hours ahead of U.S. Eastern time.
