“USA Wrestling and the entire wrestling family is saddened by the resignation of Scott Blackmun as the CEO of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Scott has long been a champion for all sport, including wrestling. Scott’s fingerprints are all over our recent successes in wrestling, and we are incredibly grateful for his belief in our athletes and his support for their Olympic quest. The success of the USOC under his leadership is well documented. No one has accomplished more and driven the movement farther than Scott Blackmun. Our thoughts and prayers are with him during his time of recovery. We wish nothing but the best for Scott and his family.”
