McKendree checks in at No. 1 in WCWA rankings, five new top-ranked individuals

In the most recent WCWA rankings, there is a new No. 1 team and five individual weights have new top-ranked wrestlers.
McKendree has overtaken the top spot in the team rankings, previously held by Wayland Baptist. The Bearcats boast 15 ranked wrestlers with 110 projected tournament points.
Rounding out the top-five in teams is Menlo at No. 2, Simon Fraser at No. 3, Wayland Baptist at No. 4 and King University at No. 5.
New No. 1 wrestlers include freshman Alleida Martinez of Menlo at 109 pounds, freshman Felicity Taylor of McKendree at 116 pounds, junior Abby Nette of Emmanuel at 130 pounds and junior Alexandria Glaude at 155 pounds.
Nicole Depa of Simon Fraser was ranked No. 1 in the preseason rankings at 130 pounds. In this month’s rankings, she checks in at No. 1 at 136 pounds.
Those maintaining their top spots in the rankings are Asia Ray of Wayland Baptist at 101 pounds, Dominique Parrish of Simon Fraser at 123 pounds, Alexis Porter of McKendree at 143 pounds, Brittany Marshall of Wayland Baptist at 170 pounds and Paige Baynes of Wayland Baptist at 191 pounds.
