DALYAN, Turkey - Gabe Beauperthuy (Colorado Springs, Colo./Colorado USA Wrestling) has qualified for a bronze medal bout at the Unlimited weight class in the men’s Senior division at the Beach World Championships on Saturday.

Beauperthuy opened with a 3-0 decision over Sigmund Widerberg of Norway. In his next match, he was defeated by Pouga Rahmani of Iran, 3-0. When Rahmani reached the gold-medal finals, Beauperthuy was pulled back into repechage.

He defeated Serkan Sertturk of Turkey, 3-1 in the repechage round, and will face Ergin Dagli of Turkey in a bronze-medal bout on Sunday.
