U.S. Olympic Training Site NMU hosts Superior International Camp in Marquette, Mich., June 5-10

The Northern Michigan University Olympic Training Site Greco-Roman wrestling program will hold the Superior International Wrestling Camp for the fourth summer. The camp, which targets Cadet and Junior-aged wrestlers, will run June 5-10 on the NMU campus.
Last year a total of 120 wrestlers attended the camp, hitting their capacity. They expect to repeat a sell-out camp this year.
The camp will consist of four days of practice and two days of competitive matches. Each athlete will have the opportunity to wrestle multiple times.
Teams from Germany, Sweden, and the Czech Republic have already committed to attend this year. Sweden is expected to bring 24 wrestlers and Czech Republic is to bring 12 wrestlers, Germany has not entered a specific number yet. In the previous years, individual athletes and teams from across the United states have joined wrestlers from France, Germany, Sweden and the Czech Republic in participating in the camp.
Rob Hermann will once again lead the camp. Hermann, the NMU-OTS head coach, has been recognized by USA Wrestling twice as Coach of the Year, has been a U.S. Olympic Team Coach and has coached numerous national and international teams.
Joining Hermann this year will be 2016 Olympian Andy Bisek, a two time World medalist who joined the NMU-OTS coaching staff in November 2016.
Athletes will also have the opportunity to learn from international coaches as each country attends will assist on the mat each day.

The cost of $350 includes training, meals, housing and transportation to and from the Sawyer International Airport. Athletes should plan to arrive on June 4 and depart June 11.
