World champ Logan Stieber clinic kicks off day of great matchups at Grapple at the Garden in New York City on Sunday

New York, NY (December 8, 2017) — The sixth annual Grapple at The Garden, presented by CrowdRX, wrestling dual meet event will officially kick off with a special youth clinic conducted by 2016 World Champion, Logan Stieber and a unique high school unattached All-Star exhibition dual meet, featuring wrestlers from Long Island and New Jersey has also been added to the full slate of wrestling matches taking place in The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, December 10.


Tickets, priced at $26.00, $41.00 and VIP tickets at $56.00, are currently on sale and can be purchased online at www.MSG.com, all Ticketmaster locations and the Madison Square Garden box office.


Stieber, the 2016 World Champion in the 134-pound weight category, will be hosting a youth clinic open to all with V.I.P tickets ($56) and GA2 tickets ($41). The internationally decorated wrestler will share a plethora of top-level wrestling experience with all attending the clinic. During his four years at Ohio State, Stieber compiled an astounding four NCAA Championships. In 2017 alone, Stieber took home the Grand Prix of Spain Championship and finished first in the US World Team Trials.


In addition to the nine top-ranked collegiate wrestling programs that will be in attendance, the Long Island All-Stars and New Jersey’s APEX Wrestling will take to the Garden mat in a special Tri-State high school All-Star meet of their own.


The Long Island squad will be led by Penn State commit Adam Busiello from Eastport-South Manor High School and Arizona State commit Jacori Teemer from Long Beach High School. APEX Wrestling will be led by 2017 Pan-Am Champion, and three-time New Jersey State placer, Mike O’Malley from Hasbrouk Heights High School.


The annual Grapple at The Garden, presented by CrowdRX, which has become a must-see spectacle for all college wrestling fans, will once again bring together elite competition to the Big Apple. The event will feature top collegiate programs from Virginia Tech, George Mason, Wilkes University and Johns Hopkins University as well as local programs Hofstra, NYU, Princeton, LIU Post, and Stevens Institute of Technology.


The full day of wrestling on December 10 will begin at 8:45 a.m. with Logan Stieber’s Youth Clinic, followed by NYU vs. Johns Hopkins at 9:30 a.m. The day continues with the high school unattached all-star dual meet between Long Island and New Jersey at 11:15 a.m. Collegiate competition continues with Stevens vs. Wilkes at 1:00 p.m. and LIU Post vs. Wilkes at 2:45 p.m. concluding the Division II and III action on the day. Princeton vs. Virginia Tech will take place at 4:30 p.m. with Hofstra and George Mason closing out the action at 6:15 p.m.
