Finals set at 50 kg, 66 kg, 98 kg and 120 kg for UWW Junior Men’s Freestyle World Team Trials

IRVING, Texas - The best-of-three Championship Series for the first four weight classes at the UWW Junior Freestyle World Team Trials have been set, after the conclusion of the morning Challenge Tournament.
The UWW Junior Nationals champion in each of the weights advanced directly to the finals series, to face the winner of the Challenge Tournament on Saturday afternoon in a best-of-three series.
Winners will represent the USA at the UWW Junior World Championships in France in September.
2015 Junior World champion Spencer Lee of Young Guns, from Pennsylvania, will battle 2015 Cadet Triple Crown winner Mosha Schwartz of SOT from Colorado in the 50 kg/110 lbs. finals series. Lee won the UWW Junior Nationals titles. Schwartz is the only other competitor in the weight class.
At 66 kg/145.5 lbs., UWW Junior National champion Alec Pantaleo (Michigan RTC) has drawn Matthew Kolodzik of the Princeton Amateur Wrestling Society in the finals. Pantaleo, an All-American from Michigan, beat Princeton’s Kolodzik in the UWW Junior Nationals finals, 5-1.
At 96 kg/211.5 pounds, UWW Junior Nationals champion Jacob Seely of Northern Colorado RTC will battle Kollin Moore of Iowa State in the best-of-three series. Seely attends the Univ. of Northern Colorado. Moore beat Chase Singletary of the Blair WC in the Challenge Tournament finals, 13-10.
At 120 kg/264.5 lbs., UWW Junior Nationals champion Rylee Streifel will face Jordan Wood of the Lehigh Valley AC. Streifel attends the Univ. of Missouri, while Wood, a past UWW Cadet World silver medalist, has signed with Lehigh. Wood stopped Univ. of Buffalo heavyweight Jake Gunning of Buffalo RTC in the Challenge Tournament finals, 5-4.
The Championship finals will be starting at 2:00 p.m. Central time, and will be live on Flowrestling.
