World Champion Jordan Burroughs remains No. 1 in March UWW World Freestyle standings

2015 World champion Jordan Burroughs (Lincoln, Neb./Sunkist Kids/Nebraska RTC) remained No. 1 in the latest UWW World freestyle rankings for March 2016.
Burroughs, who won his third career World title, to go with a 2012 Olympic gold medal, remained on top of the 74 kg/163 lbs. World freestyle rankings. Burroughs recently took home Gold at the Pan American Championships and the Yassar Dogu International.
Overall, there are now 13 American men's freestyle wrestlers with UWW World rankings, five more than last month.
Kyle Snyder (Woodbine, Md./Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC) dropped to No. 2 at 97 kg/217 lbs. behind Khadshimourad Gatslov of Russia. Gatsolv knocked off Snyder at the Medved International on Feb. 18 in Minsk, Belarus.
2015 World bronze medalist James Green (Lincoln, Neb./Titan Mercury WC/Nebraska RTC) moved up to No. 3 in the UWW World freestyle ranking at 70 kg/154 lbs. Green dropped down to 65kg/ 143 lbs. and took home the Silver at the Pan American Championships.
Joining Green at 70kg is Aaron Pico (Whittier, Calif./Team USA) coming in at No. 11, and Frank Molinaro (New Brunswick, N.J./Scarlet Knight WC) at No. 19. Pico won the Bronze medal at the Medved International while Molinaro took home the Gold at the Pan American Championships this past weekend.
The U.S. has three wrestlers in the rankings at 97 kg/213 lbs. as 2016 Dave Schultz Memorial International champion J.D. Bergman, Colorado Springs, Colo. (New York AC/OTC) and 2012 Olympic champion Jake Varner (State College, Pa./Nittany Lion WC), who recently placed second at the Yarygin Grand Prix, join Snyder.
The USA has two athletes ranked at 65 kg. At No. 12 is Logan Stieber (Columbus, Ohio/Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC), who took home the Bronze Medal at the Medved International. 2015 U.S. World Team member Brent Metcalf (Iowa City, Iowa (New York AC/Hawkeye WC) checks in at No. 17 following his golden performance at the Pan American Championships.
2015 U.S. World Team member Tervel Dlganev (Columbus, Ohio/Sunkist Kids) fell two spots at 125 kg to No. 18 while Dominique Bradley (Blue Springs, Mo./Sunkist Kids) enters the rankings at No. 20 after winning Gold at the Pan American Championships.
Also entering the rankings this month were No. 20 Coleman Scott (Stillwater, Okla./Gator WC) at 61 kg and No. 18 Sam Hazewinkel (Norman, Okla./Sunkist Kids) at 57 kg.
