Dake, Pico, Medina among five Americans who got Friday draws for Medved International in Belarus

MINSK, Belarus – Five American wrestlers, four in men’s freestyle and one in women’s freestyle, have weighed-in and received their draws for the Alexander Medved International on Friday.
Four-time NCAA champion and 2016 U.S. Open champion Kyle Dake, Ithaca, N.Y. (Titan Mercury WC/Finger Lakes WC) will open up at 86 kg/189 lbs. against Sebastian Jezierzanski of Poland, who has won Senior international medals in Bulgaria, Cuba and France.
Aaron Pico (Whittier, Calif./Titan Mercury WC), a Cadet World champion and two-time Junior World medalist, will open against Kanat Musabekov of Kazakhstan, who has limited international experience.
Two-time U.S. World Team member Jessica Medina (Champaign, Ill./Sunkist Kids) has a challenging opening draw at 53 kg/116.5 lbs. against 2014 Junior World champion Natalia Malyshieva of Russia.
Two other men’s freestyle wrestlers compete on Friday, Richard Perry (Philadelphia, Pa./NYAC/PWC) at 86 kg/189 lbs. and Eric Thompson (State College, Pa./Nittany Lion WC) at 125 kg/275 lbs.
The USA won two men’s freestyle bronze medals on Thursday from 2015 World champion Kyle Snyder (Woodbine, Md./Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC) at 97 kg/213 lbs. and past Junior World silver medalist Logan Stieber (Columbus, Ohio/Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC) at 65 kg/143 lbs.
