Live Updates: NCAA DI Men’s Wrestling Championships Finals

9:40 PM - He was wrestling in high school matches in December and now he won an NCAA championship in March! Oklahoma State's Jax Forrest complete the undefeated rookie campaign with a 5-2 win to take top honors at 133 pounds.

9:23 PM - A scrappy battle at 125 pounds, Penn State's Luke Lilledahl capped off the undefeated season with a 2-1 win over Princeton's McGowan. A second stall call midway through the third period was the deciding factor in the 2-1 bouts.

9:08 PM - The Champ is Here! Jon Cena super-fan, NC State's Isaac Trumble finishes his college career with an NCAA championship. A second period takedown and third period ride out took care of top seed Bastida from Iowa State, 5-0.

8:48 PM - He went through the season undefeated and with a bonus rate of 95.8%, Penn State's Barr is a first-time national champion. He scored a 6-3 over Merrill of Oklahoma State, powered behing a takedown and a reversal.

8:31 PM - First he won Gold at the 2025 U20 World Championships, now he adds a 2026 national title to his trophy case. Minnesota's McEnelly knocks off top seed Welsh of Penn State with a takedown in the first period for a 4-2 win.

8:10 PM - Penn State's Levi Haines capped his college career with a second national championship (2024 at 157 pounds). The top seed went undefeated on the season and got past Minto of Nebraska, 2-1, in the final. A second stall call in the second period proved to be the different, Haines third win over Minto on the season (8-6 and 2-1 previously).

7:54 PM - Back-to-back national titles for #1 seed Mesenbrink at 165 pounds. In a rematch with last year's final, Mesenbrink dominated Caliendo of Iowa for a 20-4 tech fall. Mesenbrink recorded four takedowns in the first period and a reversal to start the third period gave him the bonus point win. He improved to 9-0 all-time against Caliendo.

7:38 PM - These freshmen keep crashing the party! At 157 pounds it was #5 seed Robideau taking out defending champion Taylor of Nebraska, 4-2. A two-point near fall in the 2nd period proved to be the difference.

7:13 PM - Second straight OT battle, second straight freshman to win a national title, second straight upset to start the night! Up at 149 pounds all tied up 5-5 after 7 minutes, #10 seed Aden Valencia of Stanford secured a takedown 32 seconds in extra time and took out the top seeded Van Ness from Penn State, 8-5. Valencia becomes the third national champion from Stanford and avenges an earlier 10-4 loss to Van Ness.

6:48 PM - The first champion is crowned, true freshman Sergio Vega from Oklahoma State at 141 pounds. The bout went to extra time tied 1-1, and Vega countered a shot by two-time defending champion Jesse Mendez of Ohio State and secured the takedown with 23 seconds left. Vega caps off an undefeated season without giving up a takedown the entire year.
