There is still time to register for the Girls Folkstyle National Championships and Women’s University National Championships, which will be held at the Freede Center at Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Okla., Mar. 27-29.

The USAW Girls Folkstyle National Championships welcomes girls born from September 1, 1995 through 2008 to compete. The Women’s University National Championships will showcase the nation’s top college-age women’s wrestlers.

Click to register online for the Women’s University Nationals and USA Wrestling Girls Folkstyle Nationals.

Wrestlers must make reservations at a host hotel prior to registering for the event. When making reservations at a host hotel, be sure to ask for a registration code. All reservations will be cross-checked before a participant’s arrival. Invalid reservations from a host hotel will result in paying full tournament registration. Wrestlers will not be allowed to wrestle if there is an outstanding balance.

Athletes can register online at TrackWrestling until 9:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, March 25. The entry fee for participants registering online is $40 per athlete. Invalid hotel reservation codes will result in an additional $40 charge to compete.

Athletes can also register on-site (cash only) at their designated times. On Friday, March 27 at the Oklahoma City University – Freede Center, Cadets (folkstyle) may register from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Juniors (folkstyle) may register from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Universities (freestyle) may register from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 28 at the Oklahoma City University – Leichter Center, Schoolgirls (folkstyle) and Kids Division I and II may register form 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The on-site entry fee is $80 with a valid reservation code from a host hotel. On-site registration without a reservation code from a host hotel will be $120.

The Girls Folkstyle National Championships has grown exponentially over the years. In 2014, the event hosted wrestlers from 40 different states.

This year, the event will feature a special clinic hosted by USA Wrestling National Coaches Erin Tomeo and Emma Randall on Sunday, March 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

There will also be a Women’s College Wrestling Association (WCWA) recruiting fair for girls hoping to wrestle at the collegiate level. For more information on the college recruiting fair, contact event director Archie Randall at arandall@okcu.edu
