Five Americans land spots in UWW Greco-Roman rankings

The new United World Wrestling men’s Greco-Roman rankings are now available.
There are five American athletes that are ranked in the top 20 men’s Greco-Roman wrestlers in the World at their weight class.
The top ranked American remains 2014 World bronze medalist Andy Bisek (Colorado Springs, Colo./Minnesota Storm) at the No. 7 spot at 75 kg/165 lbs.
The next highest American in the rankings also remains two-time Olympian Spenser Mango (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army WCAP) who is No. 12 at 59 kg/130 lbs. Mango placed fifth at the 2013 and 2014 World Championships.
Two-time World Team member Jordan Holm (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm) currently sits at No. 17 at 85 kg/187 lbs. Holm won gold at the 2015 Dave Schultz Memorial International in January.
David Arendt (Jacksonville, N.C./U.S. Marines) moved up to No. 19 at 130 kg/286 lbs after winning a bronze at the Grand Prix Zagreb Open in Zagreb, Croatia in February.
2014 World Team member Joe Rau (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm), who was not previously ranked in February, joined the international rankings for March. Rau is currently ranked No. 14 at 80 kg/176 lbs.
Rau recently won gold at the Grand Prix Zagreb Open after defeating Viktar Sasunowksi of Belarus by pin.
The top ranked Greco-Roman wrestlers in the World in February were: Hamid Soryan of Iran (59 kg), Davor Stefanek of Serbia (66 kg/145.5 lbs), Rasul Chunayev of Azerbaijan (71 kg/156 lbs), Kim Hyeon-Woo of South Korea (75 kg), Rafik Huseynov of Azerbaijan (80 kg), Melonin Noumonvi of France (85 kg), Artur Aleksanyan of Armenia (98 kg/216 lbs) and Mijain Lopez Nunez of Cuba (130 kg).
