Pac-12 Wrestling Google+ Hangout set for Feb. 25

Pac-12 conference wrestlers will be featured guests on USA Wrestling’s College Wrestling Google+ Hangout On Air series this Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. (EST).
Five wrestlers from five different Pac-12 wrestling programs will be joining the guest panel for this event in anticipation of the 2015 Pac-12 Wrestling Championships in Corvallis, Ore. this Sunday.
Included on the Pac-12 wrestling guest panel are Geordan Martinez of Boise State, Dominic Kastl of Cal Poly, Ian Nickell of CSU Bakersfield, Garrett Schaner of Stanford and Blake Stauffer of Arizona State.
A true freshman for the Boise State Broncos, Martinez boasts a No. 10 national ranking after finishing runner-up at the Southern Scuffle and in fifth place at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. He has posted a 24-5 overall record this season.
Competing at 174 pounds, Cal Poly redshirt senior Kastl boasts a 13-5 record for the 2014-15 season. Kastl was a Pac-12 champion and NCAA qualifier in 2012.
CSU Bakersfield’s 133-pound standout Nickell is 20-8 on the year earning an eighth place finish at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. Nickell was a Pac-12 Championships finalist last season.
Stanford’s Schaner has made the transition down a weight class from 157 pounds to 149 pounds for the 2014-15 season. He has an overall record of 18-14 on the year and earned a fifth place finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions.
Competing at 184 pounds for Arizona State, Stauffer has posted an impressive 28-1 record in his junior campaign. He is currently ranked No. 6 nationally and has won the Edinboro Open, Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and Daktronics Open this season. Stauffer is a two-time NCAA qualifier and currently holds a 21 match win streak entering the Pac-12 Championships.
