Manheim, Pennsylvania -- The University of Missouri ended the regular season as the lone undefeated Division I team after winning this past weekend's EAS Sports Nutrition/NWCA National Duals in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Tigers (24-0) beat previously unbeaten and No. 1 Iowa (17-1) 18-12 in a spirited final to close the season as the new No. 1 in the final regular season USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll released Tuesday.
Missouri, ranked No. 1 for the second time in program history and for the first time since 2007, garnered all 12 first-place votes. Iowa will end the regular season ranked second, followed by No. 3 Cornell (17-2) and No. 4 Minnesota (11-3). Cornell upended Minnesota in the quarterfinals and then beat rival Lehigh for third-place at the National Duals.
