Freestyle wrestler Logan Stieber (Columbus, Ohio/Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC) is among the nominees for the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Team USA Best of November Male Olympic/Paralympic Athlete Award.
Stieber won silver medals at two major international events in November. Fans can vote for Logan online through Sunday, December 6 at 5:00 p.m. MT.

Stieber first won a silver medal at 65 kg/143 lbs. at the Bill Farrell International in New York, New York on Sunday, November 8. He won three matches by technical fall to reach the finals, beating Kevin Iwasa Madge of Canada, 10-0, Chase Pami of the USA, 11-0 and Jason Chamberlain of the USA, 11-0. In the finals, he was edged by Jordan Oliver of the USA, 5-8.
Stieber added a silver medal at 65 kg/143 lbs. at the UWW Golden Grand Prix Finals on November 27. He opened with a 12-2 technical fall over Selahattin Kilicsallayan of Turkey, a 2014 World University champion and 2013 Junior World champion. In the quarterfinals, in a wild shootout, he defeat 2014 World champion and 2015 World bronze medalist Soslan Ramonov of Russia, 17-13. His semifinal win was a pin over 2010 World Military champion Agaguseyin Mustafayev of Azerbaijan. Stieber was defeated in the finals by 2013 World bronze medalist Magomed Kurbanaliev of Russia, 6-12.
Stieber was only the fourth four-time NCAA Div. I champion in history competing for Ohio State, and is a past Junior World silver medalist.
Other nominees for the Best of November Male Athlete award are Danell Leyva (gymnastics), Joey Mantia (speedskating), Alex Massialas (fencing) and Michael Minor (Paralympic snowboarding).
Fans can also vote for the Female Olympic/Paralympic Athlete of the Month, as well as the Olympic/Paralympic Team of the Month.
