FLASH: Saddoris, Bisek, Anderson in Pan American Greco-Roman finals in Mexico tonight

Andy Bisek, shown in the 2014 U.S. Open, is among the three U.S. wrestlers in the Pan Am Championships Greco-Roman finals tonight.


Three U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete in the gold medal finals at the Pan American Championships in Mexico City, Mexico on Tuesday night.


Going for gold will be Bryce Saddoris, Camp LeJeune, N.C. (U.S. Marine Corps) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs., Andy Bisek, Colorado Springs, Colo. (Minnesota Storm) at 75 kg/165 lbs. and Jon Anderson, Colorado Springs, Colo. (U.S. Army WCAP) at 80 kg/176 lbs.


Bisek defeated a tough Cuban, Julio Bastida, 5-1 in the semifinals. Saddoris will face a Cuban in his finals bout. Anderson did not have a Cuban in his weight class.


Clinching a silver medal with a 2-1 record in a four-athlete roundrobin was Ellis Coleman (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army WCAP) at 71 kg/156.5 lbs.


Competing for bronze medals will be Spenser Mango, Colorado Springs, Colo. (U.S. Army WCAP) at 59 kg/130 lbs., Jake Fisher, Minneapolis, Minn. (Minnesota Storm) at 85 kg/187 lbs. and Nikola Bogojevich, Superior, Wis. (Minnesota Storm) at 130 kg/286.5 lbs.


The finals start at 6:00 p.m. Central time.
