Every youth sport parent knows the feeling of their children wanting to start a new sport. But this can be a difficult situation because you don’t know if your child will love playing that sport competitively. It is also hard to invest time and money when the outcome is questionable. There is also the responsibility a youth athlete has to their teammates and coaches if they join a new team. So what do you do if your child doesn’t like the new sport?
Liberty Mutual Insurance Play Positive™ spoke with 2014 World Champion wrestler Adeline Gray about her experience as a youth athlete. She told us how her parents were faced with this tricky situation, and what rule they implemented for their children.
Vote in the poll below, and let us know how you would handle this scenario.
