NEWTON, Iowa — The scene is set for the final week of the regular season, and WIN’s Feb. 17 updated Tournament Power Index (TPI), dual-team rankings and individual rankings provide context for where programs stand as the final dual meets of the 2025-26 season are contested through Sunday, Feb. 22.

In this week’s TPI, Oklahoma State (88) narrowly moved back into second place, just 0.5 points ahead of Iowa State (87.5). Only one point separates the Cyclones from No. 4 Ohio State (86.5), while Nebraska (84) is also surging for another team trophy, as the Huskers currently sit at No. 5 in WIN’s Feb. 17 TPI. First-place Penn State (152) gained four more points this week with Marcus Blaze moving up to No. 2 at 133 lbs.

WIN’s TPI projects where programs could finish at the 2026 NCAA Division I Championships, which will be held March 19-21 in Cleveland.

The following is a breakdown of those individual TPI points per ranking: 20 for 1st, 16 for 2nd, 13.5 for 3rd, 12.5 for 4th, 10 for 5th, 9 for 6th, 6.5 for 7th and 5.5 for 8th. Wrestlers ranked 9-12 earn two points each, followed by one and a half points for wrestlers ranked 13-16 and one point for those ranked 17-20.

Penn State features five top-ranked wrestlers with Nittany Lions Luke Lilledahl (125), Shayne Van Ness (149), Mitchell Mesenbrink (165), Levi Haines (174) and Josh Barr (197) headlining their respective weight classes. Also ranked No. 1 are three defending national champions in Lucas Byrd of Illinois (133), Jesse Mendez of Ohio State (141) and Antrell Taylor of Nebraska (157). Missouri freshman Aeoden Sinclair is ranked No. 1 at 184, while Yonger Bastida of Iowa State maintains his grasp atop the 285-pound rankings.

WIN will continue to update the Tournament Power Index, individual rankings and dual-meet rankings each Tuesday of the 2025-26 season. Be sure to check back every Wednesday as WIN will also be providing a weekly ASICS Race for the Dan Hodge Trophy Update.
