This Tuesday, December 2, is Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving back. People across the nation recognize this day with donations to charitable causes and other acts of giving.
USA Wrestling encourages wrestling families, fans and supporters to consider USA Wrestling when making their charatible donations.
“Giving Tuesday is a great program for people to support their favorite causes and charities around Thanksgiving. We as Americans have a lot to be thankful for,” said USA Wrestling Executive Director Rich Bender.
USA Wrestling is a growing organization which serves a membership of more than 205,000 athletes, coaches, officials and leaders, as well as the entire American wrestling community through its events, programs and activities. Your donation will make a difference in the lives of those with a passion for wrestling.
USA Wrestling has developed a new donation website, which offers a variety of programs to support. Check it out at:

“At USA Wrestling, a very low percentage of your investment is used for administrative costs to run the organization, it is a ratio that is amongst the lowest in all of Olympic Sport. An extremely high percentage of every dollar donated goes to athletes and directly to programs. USA Wrestling would not have the opportunity today to impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of kids if it was not for the generous donations from individuals across the nation and around the world," said Bender.
Wrestling instills the values of courage, hard work, discipline, perseverance and humility. It forges character that lasts a lifetime. The lessons learned through wrestling prepare our youth for success later in life, as evidenced by the long history of former wrestlers who are leaders in business, government, the military, and as strong family members and role models in their communities.
Help us grow the sport that turns young men and women into champions in life.
“We wouldn’t exist without our donors. We are a not-for-profit, and part of the Olympic movement. The United States Olympic Committee is the only national Olympic Committee which is not supported by its government. National Governing Bodies like USA Wrestling depend on membership and donations from generous donors who believe in the mission of the organization,” said Bender.
