USA Wrestling and HP Financial Services enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship
by USA Wrestling
USA Wrestling’s “product” is its members, its athletes, coaches, officials or volunteers. Every dollar spent must find a benefit for its members. These important investments are scrutinized very carefully to ensure that limited resources available are stretched as far as possible but still serve the wrestling community.
So it was a bit of divine providence when USA Wrestling’s Director of Development met HP Financial Services President and CEO Irv Rothman.
“I had recently read Irv’s new book, “Out Executing The Competition” and then had the chance to actually meet Irv” said Nugent. “USA Wrestling even participated in an event at Rutgers University where Rothman gave a speech and signed copies of his book for all of those attending”.
During the conversation, Irv said he had been closely involved within the Olympic Movement as a member of the US Soccer Foundation Finance Committee, and he understood some of the challenges the national governing bodies face financially. He asked Nugent, “is there a way I can help USA Wrestling?"
Since USA Wrestling’s computers and servers are let’s say “dated” and that we’d explored HP’s pre-owned technology Nugent said, “Irv, any assistance you can provide in terms of computers and support technology would be great!”
So now USA Wrestling is humming along with excellent HP laptops, high definition monitors, docking stations and servers.
