Final five U.S. women wrestlers weigh in and receive draws at Cadet Worlds in Serbia

ZRENJANIN, Serbia -- The final four women's freestyle wrestlers who are competing at the Cadet World Championships have weighed in and received their draws for their first match.


Two members of the 2012 Cadet World Team who placed fifth last year are back for another opportunity, Regina Doi of California at 40 kg/88 lbs. and Alyssa LaFrancis of California at 70 kg/154 lbs. Last year, LaFrancis wrestled at 65 kg/143 lbs.


Doi will open against 2013 European Cadet champion Veronika Gurskaya of Russia.


LaFrancis starts off with 2013 European Cadet bronze medalist Beste Altug of Turkey.


2013 Junior National champion Becka Leathers of Oklahoma will compete at 60 kg/132 lbs. She starts off with 2013 European Cadet bronze medalist Alexandra Sandahl of Sweden.


The third Californian on the schedule on Friday is Gabrielle Garcia, who has drawn Viktorya Didkivska of Ukraine in her first match at 52 kg/114.5 lbs.


Also wrestling for Team USA is Harriet Symington of Maryland, who will compete against 2013 European Cadet bronze medalist Georgiana Burduf of Romania at 46 kg/101.25 lbs.
