by Liberty Mutual Insurance
Did you know that Liberty Mutual Insurance has given away more than half a million dollars to youth sports organizations and teams? Some of that money has gone to our USA Wrestling club teams! How did they earn this money? By participating the Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports Community Grant program.
Ask winning organizations like Champions Wrestling Club (Mapleton, UT) and they will tell you: earning this Grant money was easy. Parents, coaches and team supporters (not athletes - sorry!) go online to ResponsileSports.com and take either the Responsible Sport Parenting Quiz or the Responsible Coaching Quiz. Then they credit their completed quiz to your favorite wrestling team - and the youth sports organizations with the most points at the end of the Grant period win. It's that simple.
The team at Responsible Sports helps make it even easier: there are free fliers that you can download and custom for your team. There are free web banners that you can put on your website. There are press releases and newsletters that you can use with media in your community to help rally even more support beyond your immediate team parents and supporters. And they even have an eNewsletter called Extra Point that shares the inside story from past winners on what they did to energize their community to win.
In this tough economy, wouldn't it be great to have $2,500 for your team to pay for new mats, a new scoreboard, new uniforms or even to fund scholarships for underprivileged families whose kids want to wrestle.
Club administrators can register now at ResponsibleSports.com/Grants and then parents can start taking the quiz when the program opens on March 1st.
Demonstrate your club's commitment to Responsible Sports and good sportsmanship and earn some money along the way!
