U.S. Greco wrestlers Betterman, Haight, Byers receive draws for day two of World Championships

ISTANBUL, Turkey -- Three more U.S. wrestlers weighed in and received their draws for the second day of Greco-Roman at the 2011 World Wrestling Championships at the Sinan Erdem Dome on Tuesday.
2002 World champion Dremiel Byers (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) opens his tournament at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. against 2010 World bronze medalist Nurmakhan Tinaliyev of Kazakhstan. Tinaliyev was also a 2010 Asian Games champion.
Byers has won three career World medals, along with a 2009 World silver medal and a 2007 World bronze medal. He was a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team.
Joe Betterman (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) faces Luis Liendo of Venezuela in his opening bout at 60 kg/132 lbs.
Liendo is a veteran at the Pan American level, winning two Pan American Championships silver medals, as well as a silver at the 2003 Pan American Games.
Betterman is competing in his second World Championships. He was also a member of the 2007 U.S. World Team.
Competing in his first World Championships is Cheney Haight (Boise, Idaho/New York AC) who drew Janarbek Kenjeev of Kyrgyzstan in his first round at 84 kg/185 lbs.
Kenjeev was a 2010 Asian Games bronze medalist and competed in the 2004 Olympic Games.
