Schwab and Twito to go 'On the Mat' this week

WATERLOO, Iowa - University of Northern Iowa head wrestling coach Doug Schwab and Dan Twito, NCAA Division III wrestling champion at 157 pounds, will be radio show guests on March 14.

Doug Schwab recently completed his first season the leading the UNI Panther wrestling team. His squad finished 12-9 in dual meets and qualified three wrestlers to the NCAA Division I tournament. As a competitor, Schwab was a state champion for Osage (IA) High School, NCAA champion at the University of Iowa and a 2008 Olympian. Schwab will be inducted into the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa in Waterloo on April 16.
Dan Twito became the second NCAA Division III wrestling champion for the Merchant Marine Academy when he won the 157 pound title on March 12 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Twito was a three-time state place winner for Cedar Falls (IA) High School.
