Online registration deadline for University and FILA Cadet Nationals is Monday at 9 pm CT

The deadline for online registration for the ASICS University and FILA Cadet Nationals to be held in Akron, Ohio next week is quickly approaching.
Athletes who wish to register online and receive the discounted $35 entry fee must sign up by Monday, April 18 at 9:00 p.m. Central time.

Athletes in all divisions may also register onsite, but will pay a $45 registration fee at the door.
The event returns to the University of Akron's Louis and Freda Stile Athletic Field House. There will be five divisions in the competition including:
- University men's freestyle
- University women's freestyle
- University Greco-Roman
- FILA Cadet men's freestyle
- FILA Cadet Greco-Roman
The University Nationals feature athletes who are 18 to 24 years of age and whose class has graduated high school. This event feature many of the nation's top wrestlers from college wrestling programs as well as the U.S. Military teams.
The top two placewinners in all three styles at the University Nationals qualify to compete in the U.S. World Team Trials in Oklahoma City, Okla., June 9-11.
The FILA Cadet Nationals will also feature many of the best high school wrestlers in the United States. The competition is for wrestlers who are 15 to 17 years old.
This year, the FILA Cadet Nationals will serve as the qualifying event for the FILA Cadet World Championships, which will be held in Szombethely, Hungary, August 25-28, 2011.
The last time there was a Cadet World Championships was in 1999, so this is a huge opportunity for FILA Cadet wrestlers to earn the right to represent the United States at a World Championships event.
