On-line registration deadline for Preseason Folkstyle Nationals is Tuesday night at 11:59 p.m. CT

The deadline for registration for the USA Wrestling Preseason Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa is TONIGHT, Tuesday, October 27, at 11:59 p.m.

The tournament will be held on Sunday, October 31 at the UNI Dome on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.
This popular early season folkstyle event has already had 850 wrestlers registered in the competition at two different divisions. This is a significant increase from last season, making the Preseason Folkstyle Nationals one of the nation's most prestigious fall tournaments.
As of 10:15am this morning, 697 high school wrestlers (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade) have registered and 153 middle school athletes (6th, 7th, 8th grade) have finished the registration.
Only the first 1,200 wrestlers, in the high school and middle school divisions combined, will be able to enter this event.
However, walk-ins will be permitted at weigh-ins on Friday, October 30, assuming the tournament has not sold out. Cost for those not registered on-line, will jump and those individuals will not be assured a spot in the tournament.
High school weight classes are as follows: 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, and 285.
Middle school weight classes are as follows: 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 120, 128, 136, 144, 152, 160, 190, 210, and 265.
Currently, wrestlers from 30 different states have registered. The athletes in the field reaches as far West as California, as far North from Minnesota, as far South from Florida, and as far East as New York. It is clear that this tournament features many of the best wrestlers in the nation and is truly a competitive National tournament.
Be sure to register tonight before midnight to assure your wrestler a spot in this highly competitive tournament and to save yourself some extra money!
