Simmons receives draw for Medved International in Belarus

MINSK, BELARUS - Nick Simmons (Corvallis, Ore./Sunkist Kids) has received his draw for the first round at 55 kg/121 lbs. at the Alexander Medved Tournament on Friday.
Simmons will face Khizri Duduyeu of Belarus in the first match. If he wins, he faces the winner of the match between Azar Pashaev of Azerbaijan and Aleksandr Kirtoaka of Belarus.
Should Simmons reach the quarterfinals, he may face 2008 Olympic bronze medalist and 2007 World bronze medalist Rizvan Gadziev of Belarus.
There are two men's weight classes contested on Friday, 55 kg/121 lbs. and 60 kg/132 lbs. The USA does not have an entry at 60 kg. There are also two women's weight classes being contested. The USA does not have any women entries in the tournament.
On Saturday, three men's weights will be contested: 66 kg/145.5 lbs., 74 kg/163 lbs. and 84 kg/185 lbs. On Sunday, the last two men's weights are scheduled: 96 kg/211.5 lbs. and 120 kg/264.5 lbs.
