COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - It's been quite a year already for Jake Herbert.

He completed his Northwestern career by winning his second NCAA title. He followed by winning the Hodge Trophy as the best wrestler in the college ranks.

He recently was honored as Big Ten Male Athlete of the Year, the third straight wrestler to win that prestigious honor.

Now Herbert has qualified for his first World Championships in freestyle wrestling at 84 kg/185 lbs. A past World University bronze medalist, Herbert will compete at the Worlds in late September in Herning, Denmark.

Herbert and fellow NCAA champion Trent Paulson of Iowa State took time to talk about their training during the World Team Camp this week at the U.S. Olympic Training Center.

Paulson made his first World Team at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. in freestyle.

U.S. National Coach Zeke Jones also talked about what is going on during the first World Team Camp of the summer.
