U.S. to face Russia in age-group event at New York Athletic Club on June 19

A group of age-group U.S. wrestlers will battle wrestlers from Russia in a freestyle wrestling event at the famous New York Athletic Club in New York City on Friday, June 19 starting at 7:00 p.m.
The Russian team features teenage competitors from the elite Club Olympus from Dagestan Republic of Russia.
The Russian team will participate in training opportunities during the week. They came to New York after a training and competition tour in the Chicago area.
Among the star U.S. wrestlers expected to participate in the event will be:
- Logan Stieber of Ohio, a junior at Monroeville High School who was third in the 2009 U.S. Senior Freestyle Nationals
- Andrew Campolattano of New Jersey, a sophomore at Bound Brook High School and a three-time Cadet National champion
- The Alton twins of Pennsylvania, who are seniors at Central Mountain High School and have signed with Penn State. Both Andrew and Dylan have won Junior National titles
On the U.S. teams, there will be wrestlers from New York City, as well as from the surrounding areas in New York and New Jersey.
Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance or $25 at the door. There is a discount for groups of 20 or more at a $17.50 price. To purchase tickets in advance, click here
