Returning champion Ron Cole leads U.S. contingent at Veterans World Championships

Four Americans who captured medals at the 2007 Veterans World Championships are looking to add more hardware to their collection this year.
2007 Veterans World gold medalist Ron Cole leads the U.S. contingent into the 2008 Veterans World Championships for freestyle and Greco-Roman on Sept. 23-28 in Perm, Russia.
Cole, from Auburn, Wash., won the Veterans World freestyle title at 97 kg/213.75 lbs. in Division E (56 and over) last year.
American Brad Swartz also is back after winning a silver medal in freestyle in 2007. Swartz competes at 76 kg/167.5 lbs. in Division C (46-50 years old).
U.S. wrestlers Shirzad Ahmadi and Steve Barkman also have qualified for the event. Both won bronze medals in freestyle at this event last year.
There are 25 wrestlers from the U.S. expected to compete in the 2008 Veterans World Championships.
