Gray in finals, three wrestling for third at FILA Junior women's freestyle Worlds

Adeline Gray (Littleton, Colo.) has advanced to the gold medal final at 67 kg/147.5 lbs. at the FILA Junior World Championships for the U.S. women's freestyle team in Istanbul, Turkey.
Gray pinned both her opponents, Chiaki Iijima of Japan and Olga Kalinina of Kazakstan, to reach the finals. She faces Ochirbat Nasanburmaa of Mongolia.
Victoria Anthony (Huntington Beach, Calif.) beat her first round opponent Nuria de Jesus of Spain before losing to Eleonora Abutalipova of Kazakstan. But because Abutalipova made it to the finals at 44 kg/97 lbs., Anthony had the opportunity to wrestleback.
In the first round of wrestlebacks she defeated Anastasia Tumanova of Ukraine to earn a match against Priyanka Singh of India. Anthony will wrestle for third place.
At 51 kg/112.25 lbs., Helen Maroulis (Rockville, Md./New York AC) is also wrestling for third place after working her way through the wrestlebacks.
Maroulis beat Hanna Schuster of Germany in the first round, then lost to Yu Horiuchi of Japan. In the wrestlebacks, Maroulis posted wins over Aurelie Basset of France and Roksana Zasina of Poland to receive a chance to compete for a bronze medal.
Tatiana Padilla (Azusa, Calif./Sunkist Kids) will wrestle for third place at 59 kg/130 lbs. in the first day of women's freestyle competition.
Padilla beat Volha Hlebik of Belarus and Rio Watari of Japan before losing to Johanna Mattsson of Sweden in the semifinals. She will face Geeta of India in the bronze medal match.
