IFL stars and former wrestlers Hieron, Nelson to sign autographs in Las Vegas on Feb. 27

LAS VEGAS, February 25, 2008 - International Fight League (IFL) champions and Las Vegas residents Jay Hieron and Roy Nelson will meet fans and sign autographs at "On The Mat" at 3775 Spring Mountain Road, #301, on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 4-6 p.m. The event highlights the partnership between the IFL and USA Wrestling.
Both Hieron and Nelson were successful amateur wrestlers before starting their Mixed Martial Arts careers.
Nelson will be defending his heavyweight title against Fabiano Scherner of Brazil on Feb. 29 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Hieron will put his welterweight belt on the line against Mark Miller of Chicago at Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J., on April 4. Both won their belts with victories at the IFL World Grand Prix championship on Dec. 29.
