Bronze medal -Irini Merlini (Ukraine) pin Clarissa Chun (USA), 2-0, 1;06
First period - Chun came out strong with motion. An attempted arm throw by Chun was countered and Merlini scored the first takedown, 1-0. Merlini tied up Chun with upperbody techniques. Merlini hit an arm spin and after a scramble, she came out with a takedown at 1:35, 2-0.
Second period - Merlini went upperbody again and shucked Chun by to get a takedown in the first 20 seconds, 1-0. Chun hit a one-point arm throw to tie it at 1-1. Merlini rebounded to take Chun down and put her on the back and pinned her at 1:06.
Semifinals - Chiharu Icho (Japan) dec. Clarissa Chun (USA), 1-0, 0-3, 1-1
First period - Chun comes out fast, just missing a leg attack early. After some aggressive sparring on the edge of the mat, Chun steps out of bounds in a scramble and Icho gets the point, 1-0. Period ends with Chun on the offensive.
Second period - Much action and attempts, but nobody is able to score during the period. It goes to the leg clinch. The ball is blue. Chun secures the leg. Chun takes her down to her back on the whistle for three points to win it 3-0.
Thrid period - Chun scores a one-point arm throw at the 45 second mark. Icho scores a leg attack that goes out of bounds at 1:23 to tie it at 1-1. A late Chun attack is defended by a front headlock, and Icho wins by scoring the last point.
Quarterfinals - Clarissa Chun (USA) dec. Vanessa Boubryemm (France), 6-1, 2-1
First period - Chun scores a quick takedown just 13 seconds into the period, 1-0. Chun hit a three-point headlock at the 58 second mark to take a 4-0 lead. Boubryemm scored a takedown late in the match to close it to 4-1, but Chun returned with a two-point reversal at the period's end to win it 6-1.
Second period - Chun countered a Boubryemm shot to get behind and take her out of bounds to lead 1-0. Boubryemm came back with a leg attack takedown at 1:08 to tie it at 1-1. Chun scored a single leg attack and finished with a takedown with just four seconds left to win 2-1.

First period - Chun takes a low single but can't finish, bhet gets a TD on a go behind, 1-0. With 50 seconds left in bperiod, Mattsson gets a double leg takedown making it 1-1. Chun gets a single leg and takes Mattsson out of bounds for a point with a few seconds left. Period goes to Chun, 2-1.
Second period - Chun blocks a leg shot, and goes behind Mattsson for a takedown just 25 seconds into the period, 1-0. Mattson hits a high crotch and finishes at the 1:18 mark to tie it at 1-1. With 30 seconds left, Chun hits a three-point arm throw to make the score 4-1.

Quarterfinals - Jackeline Renteria (Colombia) dec. Marcie Van Dusen (USA), 7-2, 5-3
First period - Renteria scores quick leg attack takedown for 1-0, then turns her with a one-point ankle lace, 2-0. Van Dusen gets a two-point takedown at 1:15 left. Renteria scores a takedown on the edge at 1:25 to lead 3-2. With 10 seonds left, Renteria gets another takedown to make it 4-2. An exchange on the edge gave Renteria another three points to close the period at 7-2.
Second period - Renteria hits a three-point counter takedown to lead 3-0. Van Dusen gets a takedown to exposure for two points to trail 3-2, but Renteria is able to reverse her with exposure for two more points to jump to the 5-2 lead. Van Dusen can't score in the closing seconds.
First match - Marcie Van Dusen (USA) dec. Nataliya Synyshyn (Ukraine), 0-4, 1-1, 7-0
First period - Early in period, Van Dusen takes leg shot, Synyshyn gets a go-behind takedown to lead 1-0. Synyshyn gets behind Van Dusen but can't score midway in the period. Once again, Synyshyn gets behind Van Dusen on the feet, this time finishing with a three-point takedown to lead 4-0.
Second period - Van Dusen takes a leg shot, which Synyshyn counters and scores a go-behind takedown for a 1-0 lead at about 45 seconds. Van Dusen gets a front headlock late in the period and can't score. However, Van Dusen keeps pounding and scores a go-behind with one second left to tie the period at 1-1. Van Dusen wins the period by scoring the last point.
Third period - Van Dusen gets a quick leg attack and takes her to the mat, for three points, plus one for exposure. From the top, Van Dusen turns Synyshyn for two points to get the technical fall at 7-0 in just 46 seconds.
