The 2008 USA Wrestling Women's World Team Trials is set to take place Sept. 19-20 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
This event will determine the team that will compete at the 2008 World Championships, which will only be held for women's freestyle.
Registration for the Women's World Team Trials is now open. The cost is $25 and all athletes must register by August 25. Athletes who fail to register by this deadline will be charge a $125 entry fee to participate in the event. To register visit:

Medical checks begin at 2:45 p.m. and will be directly followed by weigh-ins from 3-3:30 p.m. on September 19.
Competition will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 starting at 10 a.m. in Sportscenter I at the USOTC. Session length will be determined based on the number of entrants.
Participants must renew or purchase a 2009 USA Wrestling Membership to be eligible to participate in the 2008 Women's Freestyle World Team Trials.
The 2008 Senior World Championships for women's freestyle will be held October 11-13, in Tokyo, Japan. Competition will be held in all seven women's weights.
