Ross Alisiani, who served as an intern with USA Wrestling this year, was named Player of the Week by the Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
Alisiani, from Denver, Colo., is a senior wide receiver for Colorado College. He received the award after catching nine passes for career-highs of 190 yards and three touchdowns in CC's 44-14 victory at Macalester College.
Alsiani's effort was the first multi-touchdown game of his career and the second with 100 or more receiving yards. He averaged 21.1 yards per catch and went over the 1,000-yard mark for career receiving yards. It was the most receiving yards in a single game since Jake Craig had 236 yards on 12 receptions against Rhodes College on Oct. 25, 2003, and the first time a Tiger had three TD receptions in a game since Tim Wolfmeyer versus Trinity Bible College on Nov. 10, 2001.
Alisiani currently leads the team with 31 catches, 416 yards and five touchdowns. He ranks second on the team in scoring.
Alisiani worked within USA Wrestling's Development department this year on a variety of projects.
